Beast Boy Transformations

When Beast Boy fought the clone version of himself, he faced off against some familiar animals. Nega Beast Boy only transformed into animals Beast Boy had already used on the series. There were more than 60 different animals to choose from, so Nega Beast Boy had his pick of a lot of useful fighters. He transformed into that spinosaurus, though, which was a purposeful Easter egg choice, but didn’t make sense continuity-wise.
If aiming for a specific transformation and/or maintaining one, collars will come in handy when trying to maintain a specific transformation. By wearing one, other transformations will not attempt to interfere with the player's current one they are aiming for.
Description[edit | hide all | hide | edit source]
Transformations will progress over time, requiring a long time to not only acquire but also maintain. They have the ability to alter the player's appearance and enhance gameplay, grant at least one trait, and grant a boost to both Attractiveness and/or Allure.
Transformation List[edit | hide | edit source]
Transformations are split into two separate categories, these being 'Beast' and 'Divine'.
- 'Beast' encompasses the Wolf, Cat, and Cow transformations. These will typically have animal ears and a matching tail.
- 'Divine' encompasses the Angel, Fallen Angel, and Demon transformations. These will typically have more mythological elements such as wings, and an additional halo or tail.

- Angel- 'You radiate purity. Unlocks the forgive action once per encounter, removing trauma gained so far. Beware, losing your virginity will remove this trait and leave you broken.'

Fallen Angel[edit | hide | edit source]

Demon[edit | hide | edit source]

Combining Transformations[edit | hide | edit source]
The two transformation categories are mutually exclusive. A transformation can be pulled from one category, and can be combined with another transformation from the other category. It is theoretically possible to make combinations of a wolf transformation and an angel transformation, or a cat transformation and demon transformation, for instance.
Combining these transformations will receive both perks of that particular transformation, including it's effects and specific traits.
However, it is not possible to combine transformations if they share the same category - an angel transformation and demon transformation is not possible, meaning the categorized transformations are exclusive with one another.
All possible transformation combinations can be seen on the image below.
Transformation Progress[edit | hide | edit source]
Progress will only accumulate by one or two 'points' at midnight. It will not accumulate any other time. This means that the player will have to pass midnight in order to progress with their specific transformation. While sleeping during this time is recommended, it is not required to advance.
In all stages of transformations, progress will degrade by one point every day, enabling the player to return to normal. Maintaining a transformation is done by either performing the same actions that led to the player transforming in the first place or (only possible with beast transformations) by preventing transformation decay entirely - by wearing a collar related to the specific transformation, which the player possesses. These are the cat bell collar, cow bell and spiked collar for the cat, cow and wolf transformations, respectively. These are purchasable at the clothing stores, such as on the second floor of the Shopping Centre or the Forest Shop. The cow bell can also be obtained from the Underground Farm.
Note that wearing the collar only matters at midnight, the same period in which progress is accumulated and that divine transformations do not have.
Progressing in one beast transformation leads to an equal regression in all other beast transformations. This effect can be negated for one transformation by wearing the appropriate collar. It is therefore recommended to wear the collar not only to maintain the desired transformation, but also to achieve it.
Transformation stages progress every midnight when the player has accumulated enough points to reach another stage of the transformation (This is different for each transformation). However, the player can only go up one stage each day. All transformations have six unique stages, every second stage adding a new ability to the player.
Overlapping Transformations[edit | hide | edit source]
Transformation progress prioritises certain transformations over others. For instance, wolf transformations will receive the highest prioritisation, followed by Angel, Fallen Angel, Demon and Cat. To sum things up, if transformation points have been collected towards both wolf and cat transformations, the wolf transformation traits will be added instead of the cat transformation traits.
Progress points are uncapped, meaning the player can accumulate as many points as they wish. However, the transformation with the most points will take priority over others with lower points.
If the player already possesses a transformation and wishes to transfer over to another transformation, they will need to accumulate points in that transformation, and refuse to maintain progress in the transformation they already have. For instance, to transfer over to a cat transformation from a wolf transformation, the player would need to do things that would increase cat transformation, while neglecting to do things that would increase points towards the wolf transformation .

Top 10 Beast Boy Transformations
- Transformations were initially designed to be hidden 'easter eggs' upon meeting specific requirements, and served for cosmetic purposes only. This has been expanded to incorporate them into the game properly, providing scenes and mechanics unique to transformations.
- Transformations are officially stated by the developers as well as intentionally designed to be ambiguous as to whether or not they are real - indicating that the strange occurrences of the town (including transformations) are all within the player's head, and do not in fact reflect reality. This is akin to the other supernatural elements of the game, meant to be justified as the player's mental state deteriorating, or falling under the influence of hallucinations.
- This is exemplified by transformations originally being locked behind hallucinations.
- However, there are implications on transformations potentially being real. Certain NPCs react to the player's transformation such as Robin and River. This is left up to user interpretation on whether or not these occurrences are real.
- However, a counter-point to this is that the player could have attached a headband onto themselves without knowing. River will call any head stage (i.e. halo/horns/ears) a headband.
- Robin will call the player a 'good kitty' in their bedroom when the player receives headpats as a cat. Additionally, they can also moo for attention if they are a cow. Robin may also have additional flavor text should the player decide to trick-or-treat in a nun costume as an angel on Halloween.
- NPCs at the Temple will mistake the player for an angel/demon should they possess the transformation - stating they look just like one! If the player has the angel transformation, they will ask the player for blessings with them, with one girl asking for the player's 'angel magic.' If the player has the demon transformation, they will act hostile towards the player, thinking them to be unholy.
- Should the transformations be real, it would reveal that the player has traded in their humanity for them.
- If the player is shy about revealing clothing or is currently in an 'exposed' state, should they possess a 'Divine' transformation, they may automatically attempt to cover themselves up by using their wings. Beast transformations do not have this quirk. However, this works identically to when the player does the same with their hands.
- The Demon transformation however has the additional effect of the tail being used to cover up the genitalia, somewhat. However, it may also point towards the use of the genitalia instead. An image of how it looks in-game can be found on the respective pages.
- Prior to Version 0.2.10, combining transformations was not possible.

The newest clip for DC Universe's Titans brings Beast Boy to the party and gives fans a glimpse at his power of transformation.
The new clip, via EW, starts out with Beast Boy aka Gar Logan (played by Ryan Potter) transforming from a tiger into his human form, and when asked why a tiger, he says 'tigers have always been my favorite ever since I was a kid.' Robin doesn't seem to have a problem with the Tiger thing, though he does ask 'you have to be naked?'

It suddenly occurs to Gar that he's not wearing any clothes, who runs off to find something to cover up with.
Fans also see him actually fighting in his chosen form as a tiger, yanking a bat out of a thug's hand and perching atop a car roof with the other Titans. He is a bit critical of Robin's new choice of vehicle, as he traded in his Porche for a minivan.
He also wants to meet Batman, but Robin isn't down for the idea. You can check out the full promo in the trailer above.
According to Geoff Johns, fans will meet Beast Boy when he's already part of a superhero group, the Doom Patrol. What gets him to leave them and join the Titans is still a mystery though.
“We’ll meet him with another surrogate family, and we’ll see why he would choose to get involved with the Titans — or Dick and Rachel, specifically,” Johns tells EW. “He’s a fun character. He’s one of the best characters to write. I love writing Gar, and Ryan Potter plays him amazingly well.”
The Doom Patrol will also be getting their own series on the DC Universe streaming network alongside Titans and Swamp Thing.
